Instagram’s Design Features

7. Enhance Your Bio with Unique Fonts

Try incorporating special fonts to make your Instagram bio more unique and eye-catching. While you can already include emojis in your bio using your keyboard, your options are limited. However, with the help of a few third-party websites, you can access a broader range of unique fonts that aren’t commonly found on Instagram.

Here’s a Step-By-Step Guide on How to do it with the Help of a PPC Agency:

To Add a Unique Font to your Instagram Bio Using your Mobile Device

Follow These Steps:

  • Visit a website such as LingoJam on your phone.
  • Locate the text box provided on the left side of the page.
  • Enter your desired bio text into the text box.
  • The exact bio text appears in different typefaces on the right.
  • Choose a font style that you like and tap on it.
  • A menu will appear. Select “Copy” to copy the chosen font.
  • Open the Instagram app on your phone and navigate to your Profile.
  • Tap on “Edit Profile” and then select the “Bio” section.
  • Paste the copied font into the empty field of your Instagram bio.
  • Save your changes, and your particular font will be displayed in your bio.

To Add a Unique Font to your Instagram Bio on your Desktop

Follow These Steps:

  • If you’re using a laptop or desktop, visit the Font Space website, which offers a library of fonts you can download and use.
  • Find a font you like and select the “Download” option below the font’s sample image.
  • After downloading the font, a folder containing a “.ttf” file with different font versions will appear on your desktop.
  • Copy the font to your computer’s clipboard.
  • Open your internet browser and go to
  • Sign up for your Instagram account and select “Edit Profile.”
  • Paste the downloaded font into the biofield of your Profile.
  • Customize the sample text that came with the font to write your new bio according to your preference.

One way to make your bio stand out is by adding special characters not commonly found on your smartphone’s keyboard. Apart from being able to customize your bio with unique fonts, adding atypical characters such as §, †, or even™ can help differentiate your brand and make it more memorable to your Audience. This is particularly useful if your Instagram name features a trademarked product name.

8. To Enhance your Bio, Incorporate Special Characters

In addition to customizing your bio using a unique font, you can include distinct characters that set you or your brand apart. These characters, such as §, †, or even™ (for trademarked product names in your Instagram username), are not typically found on your smartphone’s standard keyboard.

Adding Special Characters to Your Instagram Bio on Mobile

Utilize a free app like Character Pad, which has a comprehensive collection of symbols and characters not part of the standard English alphabet.

To use Character Pad, open the app and browse for the symbol or character you want to add to your bio. Once you find it, double-tap on the character’s image, which will be copied to a text box. From there, you can copy it to your phone’s clipboard.

Next, open Instagram and navigate to your bio. Tap on “Edit Profile” and then hold your finger down on the biofield where you want to add the symbol. When the “Paste” option appears, tap it and then tap “Done.” Your unique character will now be added to your Instagram bio.

Enhance Your Instagram Bio with Symbols & Special Characters on a Computer

The most convenient way is to utilize the “Symbol” insertion icon in Microsoft Word. Please select the desired symbol or character and copy it to your computer’s clipboard. Afterward, visit and follow the steps for adding special characters to your bio.

Although searching for the specific character you want on Google may be tempting, remember that not all special characters copied from the internet are reliable. Some appear distorted or corrupted when pasted into your Instagram bio. To avoid issues, it is advisable to stick with the recommended approach of using Microsoft Word’s “Symbol” insertion icon. However, if you are looking for a specific symbol related to a PPC agency, you may need to search for it from a trusted source or try using the “Symbol” insertion icon in Microsoft Word.

9. How to Set Your Favorite Instagram Filters at the Front

If you have some go-to filters on Instagram, you can save time by moving them to the front of the editing window.

Here’s How:

  • Start editing a new post on the Instagram app.
  • Tap on the “Filters” tab to see the available filters.
  • Press and hold on to the filter you want to move.

  • Repeat steps 3/4 for any other filters you want to reorder.
  • Finish editing your photo or video and share it as usual.

Suppose you enjoy Instagram’s filters and editing capabilities but don’t want to share the photo on your account. In that case, there’s a simple trick to use Instagram as a photo editor only. Start by ensuring that you have enabled “Save Original Photo” in your Instagram settings.

Surprisingly, many people overlooked this easy tip, including myself, until a colleague shared it with me. Some people resort to complicated hacks, such as writing captions in another app and copying and pasting them into Instagram, but thankfully, this workaround is much more straightforward.

Updating the URL regularly is essential to ensure users are directed to your latest blog content, YouTube video, product, or promotion.

To address this, Instagram introduced a feature called Stories Highlights. It allows you to save Stories and display them on your profile page. You may have noticed a “New” button with a “+” symbol beneath your profile image; that’s where you can create Stories Highlights.

To do so, tap on the “New” option and choose any number of previously posted Stories from your album.

Choose a cover photo and provide a name for the Story that will be displayed as its Instagram Story on your profile page. If you wish to remove Stories Highlights, tap and hold down this particular Story, and you can do so at any time.

26. Rearrange the Order of your Instagram Stories Highlights

Reordering Instagram Stories highlights allows you to create a visual portfolio for your brand. You can use highlights to showcase your company’s values, feature new products or services, and categorize frequent topics. Take a cue from The North Face, who effectively utilizes their highlights section by highlighting different brand initiatives such as “Summit Series,” “Explore Fund,” “XPLR Pass,” “Pride,” and “Athletes.

To make sure your most essential highlights are visible to users who visit your Profile, follow these steps:

  • Press and hold the Highlight you want to move to the front of the list, then select “Edit Highlight” when the menu appears.
  • Choose an image or video you want to add to the Highlight. Selecting something that will stay there permanently is unnecessary, as you can delete it within 30 seconds.
  • To save your modifications, click the “Done” button in the upper right corner.

Your Highlight will be prioritized at the Top of the list. To remove the added image or video, follow the same steps and deselect the image. Your Highlight will still appear at the beginning of the highlight reel.

27. How to Modify Your Instagram Highlights Icon Without Sharing it on Your Feed

You’ll need to select an image that accurately represents the type of content users can expect to see if they tap on the Highlight. It would be best to aim for a visually appealing and engaging image.

If you have a particular design, logo, or image in mind that is not already in your Instagram feed, don’t worry!

You can still use it as your Highlight icon by following these steps:

  • Click on “Edit Highlight”.
  • Choose “Edit Cover”.
  • Scroll your camera roll and select the desired image.
  • Click on “Done”.

And voila! Your Highlight icon now features an image you have never posted on your Instagram account.

28. Plan and Schedule Social Media Posts Ahead of Time

If you’re used to taking and posting photos on the go with the Instagram mobile app, you might benefit from scheduling posts in advance. You can pre-post your photos from your computer and choose a date and time to share them on your Instagram Story.

If you have an Instagram business account, there are a few options for scheduling your social media posts. One option is to use a social media scheduling tool, or you may contact PPC Beast. If you have a business profile on Instagram, you can switch to it in the mobile app and connect it to Facebook by following the instructions.

Sometimes, depending on your scheduling tool, you may not need to connect your Instagram account to Facebook. After selecting the appropriate account, you can open your scheduling tool and go to the connected profiles section to choose Instagram as an available integration option. Alternatively, you can contact a PPC (pay-per-click) agency for assistance integrating Instagram into your scheduling tool.

Try using ‘ Type Mode ‘ to make your Instagram Stories more engaging. Like Snapchat, this option allows you to add captions to your Stories that provide additional context. To use it, follow these steps:

Access Instagram Stories by swiping right from your Instagram feed. This will open your smartphone camera.

Take a photo or video and tap the “Aa” icon in your screen’s top-right corner.

This will open Type Mode, where you can select from eight different fonts. Below is an example of a Story using the Modern font.

30. Share Posts From Other Users on your Instagram Story

While Instagram Stories serve as an excellent method to display your content to your followers, there may be instances where you require something pertinent to share. In such cases, you can feature an inspiring post from someone else on your Instagram Stories. Here’s how:

  • This icon will open a screen where you can send the post to specific followers or add it to your Story.
  • Opt for the latter by tapping on it.

Doing so will automatically transform the post into an Instagram Story, which you can personalize and design just like any other Story on Instagram.

31. Engage your Audience with Honest and Spontaneous Narratives

Instagram’s Candid Stories feature lets you share real-time updates with your friends, informing them about your current activities. What sets this feature apart is that each Story is only accessible to those who have shared their Candid Stories.

To share a Candid Story, you can either utilize the stories camera and select the Candid Story option or wait for the daily notification. Knowing that the Candid Story feature might not be available for all users now is essential.

Features for User Preferences on Instagram

32. Quiet Mode can be Used to Silence Notifications from Instagram

You can also schedule Quiet Mode to activate every day at a set time automatically.

Quiet Mode is available in the U.S., UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

33. Make a List of your Favorite Accounts to Prioritize Them at the Top

You can create a Favorites list to ensure you see your preferred accounts first on Instagram. This list allows you to select up to 50 accounts you want to prioritize. By doing so, their posts will appear higher up and more frequently in your Feed.

Additionally, you can access a separate feed exclusively for your favorites, where you can stay updated on their activities.

It’s worth noting that the Favorites feed is ad-free and does not include suggested posts. Furthermore, the list of accounts you add remains private and is invisible to others.

To create your Favorites list, tap the Instagram logo in the top left corner, then select the accounts you want to add.

34. Receive Alerts Whenever your Favorite Individuals Share Content

Do you never want to miss out on Instagram posts from your favorite influencers or PPC Beast agency? You can enable notifications for each user separately to receive notifications whenever a specific user or PPC Beast uploads a new photo.

To activate these notifications, go to a user’s Profile, click the bell icon in the top right corner, and select the type of post you want to be notified about Posts, Stories, Reels, Videos, or Live Videos. If you want to turn off post notifications, follow the same steps. Please note that you must enable notifications from the Instagram app in your phone’s settings.

To Enable Notifications on an iPhone or iPad, Open “Settings,” then go to “Notifications.” Choose “Instagram” and toggle on the “Allow Notifications” setting.

To Enable Notifications on Android, Open “Settings,” then select “Apps” and find “Instagram.” Enable the option to receive notifications.

If you want to hide the photos where you have been tagged on Instagram, you can either remove yourself from the post or hide it from your Profile. If a user tags you in a photo or video, it will automatically be included on your Profile under “Photos of You” unless you manually add tagged photos. This is an important essential aspect of online marketing as it allows you to control the content associated with your Profile.

  2. From there, select a specific post from your tagged photos and select the three dots located in the top right corner.

  • Tap on “Privacy.”
  • Select “Posts.”
  • Enable the option to manually approve tags by toggling the button next to “Manually approve tags.”

To ensure that the advertisements on Instagram are interesting and applicable, the platform uses your activity on its site and third-party websites and applications. You can consult a Google Ads specialist or a PPC agency for a more targeted approach. However, if you come across sponsored posts that don’t appeal to you, you can inform Instagram, and it will gradually learn your preferences.

37. Hide Ads you Don’t Find Relevant

To hide such ads on Instagram, tap the three dots next to a post labeled “Sponsored” and choose the “Hide ad” option. Afterward, Instagram will inquire why you don’t want to see that ad anymore.

On the “Share” page, tap on “New Post” and select “Direct Message” when prompted. From there, you can choose the recipients for your photo. If you don’t have an Instagram account but want to browse users and profiles on the platform, you can try several methods.

  • The first method is to search for a specific user by entering their Instagram username at the end of the Instagram URL. For example, if you know the username “PPC Beast,” you can enter “” in your browser’s address bar.

This will take you to the Instagram profile of PPC Beast, where you can explore their content. On this page, you’ll also find a search bar where you can search for other active users on Instagram.

  • Another method is to use a Google site search. To do this, open a Google search and type “ [name of user]” in the search bar. Replace “[name of user]” with the username you want to search for. Google will then show you results from Instagram related to that specific user.

This can include their central Profile, related profiles, posts with their username or hashtags they have used, and more.

Using these methods, even without an Instagram account, you can browse and discover users, brands, and content on Instagram to decide if it’s worth signing up for an account.

40. Browse Through Images Without Inadvertently Giving Them a Thumbs-Up

Avoid accidentally liking pictures on Instagram by following this simple trick. It’s easy to accidentally double-tap and like a photo while scrolling through the app. To prevent this, you can try the following Instagram cheat:

  • Before opening the Instagram app, please set your phone to airplane mode.
  • By doing this, you won’t have an internet connection and won’t be able to like a photo accidentally, even if you double-tap it.
  • However, remember that the pictures won’t load if you start in airplane mode. So, first, go to the Feed and let the posts load, then turn on airplane mode and start scrolling.
  • When you reach the end of the initial rows of posts and want to load more, simply turn off airplane mode temporarily to let more posts load, then turn it on again.

This process may be cumbersome, but avoiding accidental likes and the associated paranoia is worth it.

To Enable Airplane Mode on an iPhone/iPad:

  • To access the Control Center, swipe upwards from your screen’s bottom.
  • To enable airplane mode, locate the airplane icon and tap on it.
  • Open the “Settings” app on your device.
  • Select the “Wi-Fi” option from the menu.
  • Look for the switch next to “Airplane Mode” and toggle it to enable it.

To Enable Airplane Mode on your Device,

please follow the steps below:

  • Swipe down from the Top of the screen to open the notification panel.
  • Swipe left or right until you locate the “Settings” icon, then tap on it.
  • Open the Settings menu on your device.
  • Scroll down or utilize the search function to locate the “Airplane Mode” option.
  • To enable Airplane Mode, tap the “Airplane Mode” option.

41. Access Posts From Specific Geographical Areas

You can have a great time on Instagram by looking at pictures and videos taken from a specific location or those near your current location. People often do this when planning a trip, visiting a new restaurant, and viewing pictures taken there. You can do both things by following these steps.

To View Posts From a Particular Location

There are two ways: search for that location by name or select a specific geotagged photo and explore other related posts from that location.

To Find a Specific Place

Tap the magnifying glass icon at the bottom to find the general search page on your home screen. Once you’ve done that, you can search for a specific place using Google Ads Manager by entering its name. The search results will include relevant content related to that place, such as popular Reels, accounts, audio, tagged photos, and locations.

To Obtain Verification on Instagram

Follow These Steps

Understand the Purpose: The blue checkmark next to a celebrity or brand account signifies the verified and genuine presence of a notable public figure, celebrity, global brand, or entity it represents.

Differentiate from Fan Pages: While there may be numerous fan pages for a particular celebrity like Reese Witherspoon, there is only one objective and verified account for her, which the blue badge can identify.

To Request a Verified Badge on Instagram:

You need to belong to the category of public figures, celebrities, or brands and meet specific criteria. In case you are eligible for the verification, follow these steps to request a badge:

  • Go to your Profile by clicking the person icon in the bottom left corner.
  • Click on the three lines at the top right corner.
  • Select “Settings,” then “Account,” and finally, “Request Verification.”
  • Complete the form by providing your username, full name, document type (such as a government-issued photo I.D.), category, country/region, and Audience.
  • Once you have completed all the necessary fields, click “Send.”

Please note that applying for a verified badge does not guarantee receiving one. You can find further information about the process and what happens after submitting the request.
